We Are Not Travelling Over From Norwich
Most decorators advertising in Great Yarmouth are based twenty miles away. That shows up in the small things: quotes that take a week to arrange, a start date that keeps moving, and nobody willing to come back out for half a day to finish something off.
We work out of Bradwell, which is inside the borough. Gorleston, Caister, Belton, Hopton and Yarmouth itself are all a few minutes down the road, so looking at a job is straightforward and there is no travel charge for being where we already are.
It also means we know the housing stock. Rendered semis, seafront terraces, holiday lets that need turning round between seasons, and a great deal of UPVC that the sea air has had its way with.

Sea Air Is Hard on Paintwork
A property on the seafront and one three miles inland do not wear the same way. Getting the specification right for the exposure is most of the job.
Salt in the air
Airborne salt settles on every surface and holds moisture against it. Coatings break down sooner and fixings corrode faster than they would inland, which is why seafront properties rarely get the life out of a standard paint system that the tin promises.
Wind-driven rain
An exposed east-facing elevation takes rain horizontally, not vertically. Water gets into hairline cracks in render and behind poorly sealed frames, so preparation and the right masonry system matter far more here than on a sheltered wall.
UV on open aspects
With little shelter between the property and the sea there is nothing breaking up the sunlight. UPVC chalks and fades, and darker exterior colours lose depth, well before the material underneath is worn out.
None of this means coastal property is a problem to look after. It means the preparation and the products have to suit where the building actually stands, which is the part most often skipped.
Services Across the Borough
The same work we carry out across Norfolk, on your side of the county.
Where We Work Locally
The borough and the villages around it. Further afield across Norfolk is no problem either.

Common Questions
Yes. We work out of Bradwell, inside the borough, so Gorleston, Caister, Belton, Hopton and Yarmouth itself are all a few minutes away. No travel charge and no waiting days for someone to come over from Norwich.
More often than inland. Salt in the air and wind-driven rain break down coatings faster, so exposed seafront and east-facing elevations tend to need attention sooner than a sheltered property a few miles inland. The right system for the exposure makes a large difference to how long it lasts.
Yes, that is one of the most common jobs we get on the coast. Sun and salt leave UPVC faded and chalky long before the frames are actually worn out. Spraying them costs a fraction of replacement and lets you change the colour at the same time.
Yes, along with Bradwell, Belton, Hopton, Ormesby, Filby, Martham and Winterton. If you are not sure whether you are in range, just ask.
