Interior Painting Done Properly
A fresh coat of paint transforms a room. But a bad paint job? You'll notice every drip, every missed edge, every patchy roller mark for years.
At PaintMaster Decorating, we take the time to prep every surface properly. Filling cracks, sanding woodwork, masking edges, protecting your floors and furniture.
We work with homeowners, landlords, and tenants across Norfolk.

Rooms We Paint

Living Rooms
Often the room with the most original detail still in it. Picture rails, cornice and skirting cut in by hand rather than rushed with a roller.

Bedrooms
Usually a one-day room. Furniture moved and covered, walls made good, and everything back where it was before we leave.

Hallways & Stairs
The job most people put off. Tall stairwells in older county houses need proper access rather than a ladder balanced on a step, which is why they stay undone for years.

Bathrooms
Solid walls and poor ventilation are a common pairing in older housing here. Moisture-resistant systems, and the cause looked at rather than painted over.

Feature Walls
Chimney breasts and alcoves are the natural candidates in period rooms, and they are rarely square, so the cutting-in is what makes or breaks it.

Home Offices
Spare rooms and converted outbuildings turned into somewhere you can actually work, including garden rooms that need a warmer, brighter finish than they came with.

Norfolk Walls Are Rarely Flat
A good part of the county's housing is old. Lath and plaster, lime plaster over brick, flint walls that were never straight to begin with, and a century of patching on top. None of that is a problem, but it does mean the filling and sanding takes longer than the painting.
Older properties also move. Hairline cracking at ceiling lines and around openings is normal here, and it is worth filling properly rather than hoping a thicker coat covers it, because it will show again by the following winter.
Newer estates around Norwich, Wymondham and Thetford are the opposite job — flat, sound, and mostly about getting the cutting-in crisp and the coverage even.
